Jayleen Perez

Jayleen Perez is obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida. She earned her Associates in Arts from Valencia College, where she served as Executive Co-President of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society (Alpha Gamma Omega chapter). Jayleen and her team initiated a hydroponic garden for underserved students and organized clothing and toy drives for several youth homeless shelters.

Currently, Jayleen volunteers at AdventHealth Hospital and as a certified SCUBA diver to aid in underwater physical therapy. She is aspiring to become a pediatrician or anesthesiologist, and will be applying to MD programs.

Jayleen is excited to work with PrIMES and is committed to helping other underrepresented pre-med students throughout their journey.
