Abdulganeey Olawin

Abdulganeey Olawin, a senior at Drexel University majoring in Biomedical Engineering, currently serves as the President of Drexel Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students(MAPS). At Drexel MAPS, he actively supports fellow minority students pursuing careers in medicine, sharing valuable insights from sources like the Medical School Insiders YouTube channel and launching initiatives like "Stop the Bleed" to raise awareness about arterial bleeds and save lives.
Abdulganeey is also deeply committed to community service, volunteering with Sharing Excess and gaining firsthand insight into the transformative power of compassion and service to underserved communities. He has conducted studies on scoliosis at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and performed Hip Arthroplasty research at the Drexel Implant Research Core and has taken on leadership positions in the Drexel National Society of Black Engineers, serving as President in 2021-2022 and Senator in 2022-2023. Abdulganeey is excited about joining the PrIMES leadership team and is enthusiastic about helping pre-med students succeed during their undergraduate years.
