Elizabeth Francis

Member, PrIMES Leadership

Elizabeth Francis is a senior attending Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, MA, majoring in Premedical Health Sciences, minoring in Health Humanities. Elizabeth is a first-generation student with high hopes of becoming a neurosurgeon in the future. As she continues in her education, she intends to focus on gaining experience in various areas and helping other students who share her passion for learning. At MCPHS, she is currently a part of the student advisory board for the Center for Discovery and Research, which provides students with opportunities to network and share their research with their peers, faculty, and alumni. The goal is to spread the word about their discoveries and the many possibilities of what they can do with their work. In addition, this allows students to put themselves out there and seek opportunities to grow in many ways.

She currently works as a Mental Health Associate, assisting clients with overcoming their challenges through communication, advocacy, and supporting them in reaching their appropriate end-goal(s). Although Elizabeth identifies herself as an introvert, through these many acts, she has found this to be her passion.

In the past, she has volunteered in a community kitchen that focused on helping a disadvantaged population with chronic and critical illnesses. By creating meals that could both accommodate and improve their health, she became aware of the significance of helping those around her.

Elizabeth has attended the PrIMES mentorship as a Mentee, and has decided to join the PrIMES Leadership Team to give back by helping other students. She hopes to guide students in a world where it may seem difficult to find a voice.
