Ornella Vintimilla

Ornella Vintimilla is a first-generation, Latina student obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology at the University of Central Florida. Ornella's dream is to be a pediatrician or endocrinologist.
Ornella earned her Associate in Arts Honors from Valencia College, where she completed over 200 hours of community service in different organizations such as Valencia Volunteers, Give Kids the World, and HCA Florida Hospital. Likewise, she participated as a student leader in Student Development and as Chapter Vice President of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society (Alpha Phi Zeta Chapter). These experiences allowed her to create connections for her academic future in her next journey.
Currently, she has been accepted into multiple programs, such as HIP Scholars, EXCEL Transfer Program, U-LEAD Scholar, the University Honors Program, and serves as Secretary of the Latino Medical Student Association.
In the near future, she plans on applying to MD programs. As an underrepresented premed, she joined the Leadership Team to assist, guide, and prepare other students to succeed in their undergraduate journey through the PrIMES Program.
